This site is for the Carolina area railfan. It will focus primarily on the Research Triangle Park area, Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina. In addition, there will be articles from outside the area once in a while. This site is primarily to point out interesting railfan areas through the use of railfan photography and maps. In addition, there are sections covering technology associated with railfaning including scanners and antennas. Enjoy the site! Check out the RTP Railfan Radio. You will need WinAmp to listen.

One of the things I want to do with this website is combine railfan photography and video with maps. I have started a new RTPRailfan video page located here. I have also started a YouTube video page.
